About R.O.C.K Ministries
As a child abuse investigator for 10 years, Pastor Chris Shelton recognized that the biggest problem was men not being husbands and fathers, but he also realized they hadn't been raised to be. He also realized there needed to be an environment where God could heal them and their families and build them up to help others do the same.
Pastor Chris has a vision of men and women being led to the Lord, built up, going out and leading others to do the same. He sees them starting successful businesses and restoring their families. He believes others with like hearts will come alongside and share that vision. "R.O.C.K. Ministries" was established toward that goal. Jesus loves you (John 3:16) and has a good plan for your life (Jer. 29:11)!
R.O.C.K. Ministries is a Bible believing, faith based, "cross-denominational" (we preach "THE CROSS" across denominations - if we've accepted Jesus as Lord then we're all of His Kingdom), Arkansas registered non-profit Church organization recognized by the IRS.
About the Founder
Pastor Chris joined the army out of high school where he served as an infantry squad leader, using his G.I. benefits to complete a degree in sociology and education, and serving 5 years out of the Baltimore/Washington area as a counterintelligence special agent where he was awarded the meritorious service medal. Chris and Jackie moved to Northeast Arkansas to raise their son Adam near grandparents and where Chris served as a child abuse investigator for over 9 years. Serving in child protective services, Chris found God calling him to ministry. He completed the Christian Family Fellowship International School of Ministry in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and formed, "Reach Out Christ's Kingdom" (ROCK) Ministries in Piggott, Arkansas.
ROCK Ministries is dedicated to reaching out in God's love sharing Jesus to hurting people so God can heal them. He has also written, "It's Okay, You're With My Father" (A Child Abuse Investigator's call to the Church), which is our ministry message. He is married to Jackie who overcame abuse herself growing up. Their son Adam is completing his degree in computer network management, overcame a potentially life-threatening accident, leads worship at ROCK, and has already been on a mission trip and spoke at a city-wide crusade.

“The book, “It’s Okay, You're with My Father" (A Child Abuse Investigator’s Call to the Church), by Chris Shelton, is the inside story of one who has been there, one who has worked with victims, but one who still had the love of Christ in him when dealing with perpetrators. There was never a task too small or too large for Chris to tackle if it helped to find justice for victims or their families. Chris stood for the children, and often the terms of justice were creative, sometime amazing, but always filled with his prayers. While reading the book, I could visualize the characters and could see Chris giving support, but never losing sight of the importance of his belief that we are all children of God. I always felt during an investigation that Chris Shelton “had my back”. He took small pieces of evidence and worked with each piece until the justice system had the whole. I am honored to recommend this book; it is written by a man who has been in the trenches, but did not forget what was important.”
